Travel

From the Airport:

Lindberg Field (SAN) is the major international airport in San Diego and is 10 minutes from Coronado via car. Public transportation takes about one hour and is easily accessible from the Airport to Coronado - take MTS BUS route 992 to Broadway then MTS BUS route 901 to Coronado Library. We recommend avoiding the shuttles from the airport to Coronado, as they are expensive. A taxi ride is much cheaper, particularly if shared with others.

From LA and Orange County via car:

Take 5 South all the way to the Coronado Bay Bridge. After you cross the bridge, take a left at the first traffic lights onto Orange Avenue. Continue for three blocks and take a right onto Sixth Street. CoSA is at the corner of Sixth Street and D Avenue. Village Hall is at the intersection of Sixth Street and H Avenue.

From all points south via car:

If you are coming from Mexico, cross the International border at San Ysidro. Give yourself plenty of time. Border waits can be as much as an hour on weekends. Continue on 5 North to the Coronado Bay Bridge. After you cross the bridge, take a left on Orange Avenue. Continue for three blocks and take a right on Sixth Street. CoSA is at the corner of Sixth Street and D Avenue. Granzer Hall near the intersection of Sixth Street and F Avenue.

Parking:

All parking is on the street. There should be plenty of parking on Orange, Sixth and Seventh. Check all posted signs before leaving your vehicle. Be respectful of others.

Accommodation

There are many hotels and motels in Coronado. All the hotels in Coronado are good. Prices vary depending on the time of year. It is less expensive to stay across the bridge in San Diego or in Imperial Beach. There is also a hostel in Downtown San Diego for international visitors.
